Who wouldn't, if given a chance, take a peek into eternity and see exactly where they stand with God? One of the most terrifying scriptures in the entire Bible is found in Matthew 7, where multitudes of professing believers will be cast into Hell despite the many wonderful works they had done in God's name. Why would a loving God do that? In Luke 7 Jesus rebukes the religious leaders of His day for leading souls through the wide gate to destruction by removing the "key of knowledge" from their teachings and adding their own faulty interpretations and traditions. This book, in a most adventurous, often humorous but thought provoking way, focuses on that key and its continued absence from the gospel in our present day. What's the book about? There have been many books written on the subject of biblical prophecy and the End Times. While this book does use this time in history as a springboard for its story, the setting is merely a backdrop for a much deeper journey into the human heart. Meet Dave Babin. He's your average Joe who has a belief in God, country, the American Dream and living life to its fullest because you'll only be getting one chance. That chance is vaporized in the wake of a world-wide economic meltdown brought on by a devastating oil shortage, one that has relegated people from all walks of society to a level playing field, one where rules cease to exist. Like a ten dollar ad in the New York Times, so are the stories melting into the chaotic day to day saga of life, ordinary people doing extraordinary things, good and bad, simply trying to survive yet another day. Now filtering out of the global madness come rumors of some folks up and disappearing--literally--into thin air. On foot and embarking on a mission intended to save his life, Dave's steps are about to be redirected into an epic journey that may just save his soul. Although he has no more answers than anyone else concerning the supernatural events taking place, one is fast on its way and in a package that he never could have seen coming. Neither will you.
